October saw a nice rebound in beachfront condo sales (54 up from 22 in September), mirroring 2008’s October rally. Further, there are 77 units either under contract or pending sale in the area. Several of those have been in that state for over 60 days, so we may see a real jump in November/December.

As I reported last month, there has been a good increase in the number of units sold this year over last, but selling prices have decreased. Recent sales indicate that prices are beginning to recover. Some of the lower-priced units that sold earlier this year have been renovated and put back on the market at higher prices.
This is a good time to point out that anyone can “take an order” on a fire-sale-priced property, but in order to sell a property at its highest price, an agent must be available and informed. Available to be able to capture prospects interested in Plantation. Informed to be able to quickly and thoroughly answer questions and concerns, and to explain the advantages of ownership in the Plantation.
